Went into the local Comet branch yesterday and they appear to have given up on OnDigital/DTTV. The local TX changed its’ frequencies (and power plus/minus) requiring a wideband aerial last January. They haven’t bothered to upgrade their aerial and advise Satellite or cable TV. They are not the only place round here to advise the same and I have yet to come across anyone that does. – Regards
Has anyone else had this tonight/this morning? I’ve just rebooted my cable box(ntl)and it’s come up as 11:09 am on the now/next and a majority of channels appear un-subscribed on the favourites menu..I live in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire..anyone else had this??????
I don’t understand why NTL don’t or can’t carry BBC2 Wales and S4C in England just like SKY and Freeview. Any ideas ?

NTL have finally installed a new STB this morning.
I wasn’t at home but my wife says that the engineer arrived, replaced the box (with a different Pace model) and said that NTL will have to activate it at their end. I don’t recall this happening when they originally installed.
At present we have no TV service and the engineer said we should have channels within half an hour.
Does this sound right?

The most annoying thing about NTL Cable TV is not being able to get the same range of regional programmes as Sky Digital using a dish e.g. BBC2 Wales, S4C.
Is there light at the end of the tunnel now that we can get some of the regional BBC1 channels
(Wales, Scotland & N. Ireland) ? Will NTL also adding BBC2 Wales / S4C to the base package – I hope so or I have to get a dish !

This is something that came up on another forum and thought I would ask here.
If someone wants to be on Sky they just have to get on the Astra satellite and then pay Sky to be in the EPG.
However if a channel wants to be on Virgin Media they have to pay the channel ? I know the VM network is closed but can’t they just take the feed from the Astra sat as they do with some of the SKy channels and then charge a price to be in the VM EPG
