Everynight around midnight and then onwards for a few hours my VOD stops working and I get error messages. Or the show will start then a few minute in it says VOD is currently unavailable. Doesnt matter if I reboot- still wont work.
Does anyone else get this- its been happenning all week and this is the only time I have to watch tv.

I did an add channels this morning and the BBC4 text screen appeared on ch. 800, so I checked were BBC4 should be and it was gone.
Anyway, I did a store channels and a few of the “old” channels have been shifted to the 800’s.

I think that ITV could turn things around in Six Months all they need to do is make a few slight changes to the service. Heres what I would do to try and turn it around:
First I would Get rid of the ON STB Design and change it to ITV. Then I would withdraw the FTA and one Primary Channel deal. I would offer a Movie Deal where you get Film Four, Sky Moviemax, Sky Premier, and Free ITV Select Movies for £40 a month. I would do a Similar thing with the Sport, so you would get ITV Sport, ITV Sport+, ITV Sport Select, Sky Sports 1, 2 and 3 for around £40 a month because I’m sure alot of people would go for that. I would keep the Price of all Primary Channels the same and add National Geographical, Bravo, Trouble and Living and I would drop TV Travel Shop.
If anyone has any Ideas of how they would turn it around feel free to post, it should be interesting to see how other people would tackle the problem.

according to a Sky representive today I spoke to. I have had continually problems with my box, I was one of the few first subscribers to ONDigital when it started, then my original box (after two and a half years of good service) packs up and stop working. So last March I receieved a re-furbished box from Ondigital. Then yesterday it looked as if the same thing happened again. So after failed attemps all day yesterday to get it replaced, I got through to somone. The technical department told me because I was an original customer I could have another reconditioned box as a replacement even though I was out of the three month warrenty that came with the Replacement box in the beggining, so I said to this man “it’s either a new box or nothing”, the man replied to me “please wait a moment then while I consult my manager.” He then came back and said that the reconditioned one was all that I was entitlted to becuase they do not no longer sale new boxes with contracts only new boxes go to Prepaid customers.
So i said to him, don’t worry then I’m moving to Sky, the man then paniced and said let me try again, still he came back and said “we can’t give you a new box”. “Right” I said then put the phone down. I then rang Sky which took about 10 mins to get through, the women I spoke to was very nice and appologised for the wait, she said scince the re-launch of ITVDigital around 600 customers had rang today and yesterday evening. So it looks as if ITVDigital may be loosing more customers than what is thought

Recently i have called virgin techy guys bout odd things and we all get the odd arabs now and then but recently i find myself wanting to shout obecenities at them (arabs) for the lack of understanding.
Is this what virgin call customer or even technical service. dont get me wrong there are folks whom within the company that know there stuff. BUT it makes you think dont it? do virgin think all customers really fools for what we the customers pay out.
I can tell you for the same price we pay for our BB, people in Japan and singapore are getting nearly 100x the speed and better uploads. FACT !!!!
my question to you guys is have you had the same experience? Either STM’s or general crap.

I’m a night owl. Most nights I lose service around 3am for anywhere up to an hour!
Both TV and internet goes down.
Does this happen to anyone else?

Just had ntl round to give me another box and got speaking to the guy.
he said that the bromley update was supposed to have been now but was cancelled due to the fact that there was 2 glitches with it.
he said that it has been announced that the update will be in may.
however i have no prrof to prove this as it is word of mouth.
he also said that they have a meeting next week to talk about the pvr, the new update, and also about the samsung boxes being rolled out to everyone.
so lets hope this is true

Hi,
Looking for a little advice here.
I have a 1-year-old house, and unfortunately the developers didn’t put a distribution network in upstairs. What I really need is to be able to watch Cable and analogue TV upstairs in about four bedrooms and one study.
I’d also like to be able to watch it in the study downstairs as well.
What I dont’ want to do is spend a lot of money, but will if it’s necessary. Anyone got any ideas on how to physically do it though? I mean I don’t want to rip walls down, put huge holes in walls, or have cables running up the outside of walls inside the house.
Is there any way to actually get in behind plug sockets and just drop a wire down? I assume that the house has thick insulation (yellow stuff, forget the name), but would cables be able to get down in between this and the wall?
Any help gratefully appreciated.

I suspect the people who know can’t reply to this
, but does anybody know if TW are having any issues with BB in the Berkshire area (hangs off the Hayes setup I think)?
Can’t see anything on the status page at the moment but can’t connect home either
