Given the start of a new sub-forum (by popular request 
) it seems like a sensible moment to merge the original ex-NTL and ex-Telewest VOD threads.
So welcome, everyone, to the new Virgin VOD changelog!
21st January 2005 – NTL Changelog
- bid-up.tv now bid.tv in the EPG
- price-drop.tv now price-drop tv in the EPG
- Express Shopping added to the TV channel packs Help and Services Interactive page listings.
Things that are out of date:
- Help and Services Interactive TV channel packs listings are now wrong for the rebranded bid tv and price-drop tv are they still read as bid-up.tv and price-drop.tv on the pages in the Base Pack and Family Pack listings.
- Terms and Conditions in the TV channel packs page has the old channel names where it says where the images were from. (Minor).
20th January 2005 – NTL Changelog
- New NTL Interactive Bromley launched (blue colour)
- Internet signup page colour changed
- TV Email page colour changed (onscreen keyboard is still purple)
- Interactive seems a little bit faster
- Menus at the top are now light blue to match in with the forthcoming software update to change the EPG from purple to blue
- Font in both of the top menus in Interactive look better
- Noticed today that the UKTV Gold Teletext service has been discontinued. Not sure if that happened today, or whether it has been discontinued for a while.
Channel name changes needed:
- According to this bid-up.tv is changing their name from 21st January to bid tv, so I guess they will need the channel name updated in the EPG. I think price-drop.tv is keeping the same name, and not changing it. The new bid tv logo here, and a bigger version here.
Only other faults/out of date stuff to report:
- Minor: On the Terms and Conditions page for TV channel packs in Help and Services, on the second page (you have to click ‘Next’ at the bottom right) it says ‘the images were provided by…’ but the channel names are still things like Sky Movies Premier and UK History.
- The image on the Internet signup screen still uses purple and pink, instead of the new blue colour, that launched for Interactive today.
- Minor: The advert rectangles at the top of Interactive pages don’t have a gap underneath them, as they do on the top of them.
- Express Shopping missing from TV channel packs listings Help and Services page, on both the Base Pack and the Family Pack pages.
14th To 17th January 2005 – NTL Changelog
14th January 2005:
- TV Mail now changed to TV Email in Email and Chat section.
- TV listings in Help and Services TV channel packs changed and looks all correct except the missing Express Shopping channel.
15th And 16th January 2005:
No updates – weekend.
17th January 2005:
- The ‘Our Our’ mistake fixed to now say ‘Our Base pack’ on the TV channel packs Base Pack’s main page.
So the only things left seem to be the Express Shopping channel missing from TV channel packs listings (in Base and Family – is Express Shopping in the Base Pack as well as the Family Pack?) and the different font on the red button menu in walled garden Interactive where the text is a different font to the Channels menu at the top next to it.

19th January 2005 – NTL Changelog
- New Screenshop channel added in Auction-World.tv’s old slot
Things that need changing:
- Red menu font in the Interactive top-left.
- Help and Services TV Channel Packs listings need to add Express Shopping channel. Screenshop doesn’t need to be added because it is already in there I think for some reason.
18th January 2005 – NTL Changelog
- Video On Demand launch in Glasgow as of 2.30am
No other changes to report.
Things that could be done too: Express Shopping channel missing from TV channel packs listings on Help and Services interactive, and the incorrect font on the red Menu at the to-left of Interactive (the font doesn’t match the style of the green Channels menu next to it).
11th January 2005 – NTL Changelog
- Channel listings in the Help and Services TV section updated, although there are still errors and things wrong in there (ie. the word ‘One’ written twice on the Base Pack entrance page, and several channels like Plus and buy ntl are still in there – and no Eurosport GB 2, etc).
- Channel 4 Interactive is still broken.
12th And 13th January 2005 – NTL Changelog
12th January 2005 Changes:
No changes to report on 12th January 2005
13th January 2005 Changes:
- Interactive Help and Services TV channel listings updated and all are now correct. Only problem is the 2 ‘Our’ words on the beginning of the Base Pack main page
- Channel 4 Interactive now working okay
- Channel 4 Interactive Celebrity Big Brother Voting now available
- Install Check doesn’t seem to be working today
- Help and Services Welcome to NTL TV Guide Subtitles page text changed from “ITV” to “ITV1) (minor change). However, shouldn’t five be on that page too or don’t they have digital subtitles on NTL for five?

10th January 2005 – NTL Changelog
- NTL Interactive Help and Services (Welcome to ntl pink pages section). Subtitles information changed under TV Guide, and part about pressing yellow on the now and next bar for them has been removed.
- Install Check under the Help button content (Customer Services bottom option) seems to now work, and mine came back as ‘green’ and working okay.
- Eurosportnews is now Eurosport GB 2 in the EPG, however the name is still the old Eurosportnews name in the Favourites Listings – now isn’t that a surprise – the bug is obviously still not rectified.
The only complaint I have to make is that ITV1 is called ITV in the new subtitles information, but that is so minor that I am probably just being picky. And the TV Channel listings still haven’t been updated/changed as of yet.

6th January 2005 – NTL Changelog
- Channel 4 press red icon changed and slightly different with new Channel 4 logo in the application, etc. Possibly to include Celebrity Big Brother voting content tonight.
- Auction-World.tv channel removed from EPG.
