Anyone else missing Channel 4 Programmes from Catch Up TV on demand?
Rick.
Dont we get it on Virgin?

It’s bad enough that some are all capitals and some are lower case but both? Very unprofessional. I think anything that actually makes a word ie History should have a capital first letter (natch) and multiple words should have a capital at the start of every word (i know it’s wrong but it looks better) and anything that isn’t a word ie MTV should be all capitals.
Must try harder!
I went on another trip to Florida last year and when I am over there I always watch the Weather channel to keep a watch on the weather due to the severe thunder storms that they have 7 days a week due to the intense heat.
This has got me thinking though. With Virgin’s technology I see no reason why this would not benefit the UK. Like in the USA the Weather Channel could be totally regional to all parts of the UK like the south east, midlands, the west country, wales, scotland etc etc.
We do have up and down weather in this country. Granted we dont have hurricanes, but we do have severe weather like gale force winds, freakish days in the summer of hot weather. So why would we not benefit from this service ?
I think the UK is one of the only countrys that dont have this channel am I right ? I know we used to have it on the old analouge service back in the 1990s, but it was poor. It was part time only and only served as a national weather report ( well at least on Sky anyway ). It wasn’t local every 15 mins like they have in the USA version.
I do for one miss the USA version. It plays lovely smooth jazz music and is very handy to have. I know with the BBC and Sky showing weather reports on red button interactive is handy, but it’s no scratch on the service of the Weather Channel.
So what do you guys think ? Should Virgin and Sky get this channel back, with a more improved service on the level of what they get in the USA ?? Maybe they could do it using a computer program with a automated voice for the regional reports like they do in the USA as well ?
Thoughts please…
Just been round a friends house who still has analogue cable (as well as Sky) and we saw a channel showing a Windows PC (looked like Windows 98) showing an application running which seemed to be measuring something. What is it for?
103 and 104 show Incorrect Channel Number and C4 +1 is off too.
Anyone else got the same problem?
According to the FT…
“The Beeb has assured Media Trust that the Community Channel slot will be moved to daytime in February.”
I wonder if this will be 1/8th screen?

I have a Panasonic TU-CT20 Digital Converter Box and have been using it ok for the last 3 weeks!!
Yesterday the box wanted me to run the check for new services option which I did, from that point on all of the channels have changed order………. i.e.
BBC1 was on channel 1, but is now on channel 15
BBC2 was on channel 2, but is now on channel 14
and so on…..
What has happened? has freeview changed the order of the channel lineup or is the Panasonic box broken?
Any sugguestions would be welcome.
Many Thanks
Doing an ‘add channels’ on my Pace box I now have a Channel 15, which is presumably fairly new.
It has no audio or video as yet. Does anyone know what is planned for this channel??
BTW if it matters I am tuned to Whitehawk Hill, Brighton.
Any info welcome.
