BBC is showing the main show on Saturday on both BBC-1 and simulcast on BBC-HD, but yet again, the results show is only being shown on BBC-1 (crazy, since it is obviously recorded using the same cameras right after the main show on Saturday, and so could easily be shown in HD the following night).

In order to get both to record I have to set up two season passes – one for each channel – but then the superflous BBC-1 Saturday recordings frequently screw up other recorings scheduled for other channels on Saturday (yes, I know you can record two channels at once, but if two of the programmes are consecutive, and you’ve added padding, the recorder thinks you are trying to record three things at once and drops one of them).

Last year, I had to remember to delete the individual BBC-1 Saturday recording from the schedule each week, which is a bit of a nuisance.

My question is, is there an easy round this that I’ve overlooked?

If it is just us will my imminent re-format solve this kind of glitch?

Edit – the playback was showing 2 copies of Dancing With the Stars and both were I’m a Celebrity. Now, after a reset we have Dancing in recovered content…

Why is the picture quality on the V+ so bad when watching the playback on HD. The picture often breaks up into coloured specks. Lucky for me I recorded it on normal BBC1, so the family was happy! Any ideas?

What happened to SCD yesterday?

I just went to watch the recording on BBC HD channel only to find that it wasn’t shown on that channel.

To make matters worse, it is not listed in the BBC VOD section either.

I presume the programme was actually broadcast?

I must admit, I have not been watching this show on BBC much, as it has become far from anodyne for me. The first and original episodes were OK, but it has all become too hammy and fake for my liking.

Was he pushed because he was a popular character and person instead of his dancing skills (if that matters)?

If so, is this right? Who cares about the dancing. We want to see good people shine through – surely…?

Isn’t this a prime example of peoples’ democracy being slaughtered?

Anyhow, at least this shows that the telephone voting system wasn’t rigged. [...?]

So what? They have bought the rights from BBC1….. The BBC still make the show though for the US networks….

Being a BBC production makes it UKTV I guess……

But it’s hardly Gold…..

There again, has there been much of that recently on the UKTV channels?
