its a Goodmans GBD 1 FTV Set Top Box.

today i followed the instructions pretty simple installation was a breeze did the automatic search for all the FTA channels and i ahve em all great. anyways been running fine, then tonite i noticed i started getting like this grey/black box that is about the size of the BBCi bar with just an S in the centre of it, now i only get this on the BBC channels none of the others.

and its really starting to annoy me as it has only just come about, it was never there before, it only came about tonite.

does anyone else get this or is it just my seto being faulty, i admit it goes after a short while but it just shouldn’t be displaying it and its gets on my tits.

any ideas i have tried a full reset.

weird thing is tho it dont appear if a program on any bbc channel has interactive features like press red etc……. it doesn’t appear on news 24.

is it normal?

i was nbowsing the internet, and found a picture of the goodmans stb on the argos website:

and i think that it lokms extremly like the bush internet set top box which is for sale on this site:

and it has exactly the same dimensions etc and is very similar in its appearence,
is therew a reason foir this???

Anyone with a Goodmans box, this is a very useful tip if you dont want radio mheg’s I have discovered if you press 0 on the remote once the mheg has loaded, it disappears. Works on every radio station

i was just wondering if any has any pros cons on goodmans stb tried looking for a site about 1 but not found 1. i think its got a timer where panasonic has nt but goodmans only seems to have 1 scart where panasoincs got 2 any surgestions on best thxs

yo i was just wondering if anyone had a goodmans dtt box from index catalogue shop and i wondered what they thought of it

Has anyone got one of these? I’ve seen it in the Littlewoods Index catalogue at £99 but as a new customer I can get 20% off. Is it the same as either the Grundig or the Pace? Is it the usual Goodmans standard? Or is it really good!

MY Parents had a philips digital idtv, which has broke and deamed unrepairable by comet, so they have been given £600 from their insurance cover.

they are thinking about purchasing the above tv

According to What TV & Video magazine Goodmans are to launch a range of DTT products. Two IDTV models 28″ at £400 and 32″ at £450 and also a DVD player with a built in digital tuner for £99. The last item seems almost umbelievably cheap but I suppose you wouldn’t need to add much except the tuner to create a DVD/DTT box so who knows?

what is the codes for the on digital so i can use the remote for my goodmans 28ins tv cheers hope some1 can help me?
