I read a little bit in The Sun today mentioning that BBC Digital are going to be running a 24 Hour World Cup channel during the competition. It was a tiny piece and I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere including here so I wondered if anyone knows if this is true.
We’re having a baby in a weeks time so it will be very useful whilst I am up at 3 in the morning.
TIA
Leigh

Perhaps it just me (again) but the times on the ONdigital EPG are one-hour out.
The time on the box is OK, but the programs show an hour early, eg: 18:00 Simpsons 18:30 Simpsons rather than 19:00 and 19:30.
Is this just me????

When it’s Virgin Media Broadband.
This is the third night in a row that I have called to sort out my slow speeds only to be told I will be called back in half an hour. It has now been two hours and like the other two nights where it was more than an hour, I have other things to do than sit by the phone all night, like take the dog out.
Not only is this the worst company I have EVER dealt with, their product is rubbish and judging by various forums I am not the only one.
My whole experince from installation to now has been a shambles of the highest order.
Boo!

I have already phoned Virgin Media several times but they keep saying they can only sent out an engineer when they can see a fault on their computer and I should phone them again when the Internet is down again. However, the internet is only down for a few seconds and by the time I have come through to the broadband support and explained my problem the internet is working again and I still have to pay for the expensive phone call which sometimes lasts up to 10 minutes.
A netgear router is connecting my computer to the modem but even when I connect the modem directly via an ethernet cable to my laptop I still get the same problem. I don’t know what else to do anymore and was wondering whether anyone can give me some advice or help as Virgin Media cannot help me at all. Thanks a lot! Simon

Hey all….we’ve been having a few probs with Blueyonder lately since they had some engineering works in the London SW19 area a few days ago.
Our line has been disruptive….particularly after “heavy” usage such as downloading a demo from XBox live or any other large file from the web. Only one light of our modem (Webstar DPX100) stays off when this happens (the “data” one) – the others are on as normal
I’ve spoken to Support and I keep getting lame excuses such as it being a problem with our PC setup or the fact that I am using a wireless router (both rubbish as I’ve had no problems previously with em
).
Any advice as to what to do? Anyone facing a similar problem?

Hello. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what might be the solution to the following problem.
Last week I purchased a WGR614 router so that 2 persons in the same household could access the internet wirelessly.
We managed to get it up and running, but the problem is that, after about an hour, we can no longer receive a signal. We have to reboot the router to get a signal again.
We seem to be sending packets OK, but not receiving them.
The router is netgear WGR614 v.5 and it’s plugged into the back of a Blueyonder set top box.
Any help would be appreciated. (We are wondering if the router has a faulty connection or something).

Tonight we noticed the time on the home page and schedule is one hour ahead of the current time. A reset cured it, but a few hours later the same thing has happened. On to customer relations now, but has anyone else had this?

Dear all,
NTL have finally installed a new STB this morning.
I wasn’t at home but my wife says that the engineer arrived, replaced the box (with a different Pace model) and said that NTL will have to activate it at their end. I don’t recall this happening when they originally installed.
At present we have no TV service and the engineer said we should have channels within half an hour.
Does this sound right?
Thanks in advance.

I see NTL have introduced the 6p hour long phone calls like BT for an extra £2 a month.I like this as I was considering changing to BT.
