OnDemand down in Kent? Virgin Media TV On Demand

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

Hi Guys,

I think I am being told porkies by Call Centre in Bangalore. Basically I had a self install of VM TV on Thursday. Everything worked except OD. I used to have Cable before, so it was just a case of screwing in the cable already there into the back of the new STB.

I have had a 1059 error ever since for OD. Spoke to CS a few times, who have sent numerous hits to the box, but it still has not worked. On friday they said an engineer had been booked to swap the box on Monday. But later that afternoon I have a message saying the engineer has been cancelled as the IT Dept will fix my problem in 24hours.

Well it is now Sunday so I just called 151, who just dismissed my problem saying that my whole region has an OD problem which should be fixed in 24/48hours. I suspect this is untrue as I would have been told this in the beginning.

So is there an OD problem in Kent (I’m in the Sittingbourne area)?

ITV is to make programmes, including Coronation Street and The X Factor, available for catch-up viewing on Virgin Media’s cable platform.

Under the four-year deal, which will see the ITV Player on-demand programme service join the BBC iPlayer on Virgin’s platform, more than 40 hours of programming from ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 will be available to Virgin Media’s 3.5m TV customers.

The shows will be available for seven days after broadcast as part of Virgin Media’s free catch-up service

There will also be 500 hours of archive shows made available too as well as HD programming from ITV through TV Choice

BBC TV Choice OnDemand V+ HD

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

Hi,

Has anyone noticed if the BBC has disappeared from the TV Choice OnDemand

I have the V+ box and since the upgrade on the 8th it’s gone. I’m getting a new box next week anyway as it makes a horrific sound every morning. I rang faults and as always it’s been escalated, it seems weird everything but the BBC is not there.
All other OnDemand stuff is fine though…

NTL On:Demand – grrr! Virgin Media TV and Phone

Friday, February 20th, 2009

Feeling a bit at NTL’s on:demand service. Until the other day, they had LOADS of BBC programmes in their “pick of the week” bit.

It meant I could watch Holby and Casualty at a more convenient time. Fortunately, I watched Holby on it on Weds, as it had gone by Thursday… but Casualty (from Saturday) hasn’t appeared on there yet…

I know it’s a bit sad to watch them but they’re the only 2 programmes I actually watch these days (I have a toddler so Cbeebies is normally on instead )

Anyone know why NTL have stopped saving some of these programmes?

Virgin Media OnDemand Fault? Cable

Friday, February 20th, 2009

I have been unable to access on demand all day today. I get a message telling me it is ‘temporarily unavailable’. Is anyone else experiencing this? I can’t bear the thought of having to call them again (I have to do this at least once a month).
