onnet box makes exc. vid image manipulator Freeview

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

hope this does’nt sound too sad.but,i have been housebound with an injury and pretty bored.you can still access the internet and use the email facility of itv active/onnet.therefore,whilst watching t.v. or a video recording,or even a cctv video feed.you can do a vidgrab and either email it to someone or store it in one of your 5 accounts.quite, accidentally,i discovered the following facility that has never been mentioned anywhere in the literature.as you scroll on to the image,it is highlighted with a frame.if you then press the enter button.it opens up several options to play around and alter the picture, such as zooming in several times, stretching the image etc..oh well,it seemed great fun at the time.also, you can do the same with any jpeg you come across on the web.

onnet shortcuts/tricks Freeview

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

does anyone know of any shortcuts/tricks that can be used to make onnet use easier?.i access several news&sport sites daily, and within them many articles.when i wish to return to my favourites list,it is very time consuming to repeatedly press the “prev.” button.also to access the list from the start,it takes ages to plough through the preceding pages and scrolling required on each.i suggested to ondigital that it would be useful to have a direct access button for ones fav. list, in the style of the “e-mail”,”set-up”"next” etc. buttons.they telephoned me one sunday to say it was an xcellent idea and they were having a meeting to discuss it.that was two months ago,i’ve heard nothing since.so does anyone know of any shortcuts to get to ones favourites page?.also, i have noticed it is possible to access internet sites that onnet fails to access,by calling up the “google” search engine and clicking on to the “cached” section, anyone know of any other ways?.
