Digispy

My VOD picture has been awful since Thursday. The picture starts off ok, but then every few seconds, it pixelates horribly, freezes and then suddenly goes back to normal. It’s then ok again for a few seconds but then just repeats the problem over and over again. It does it both on my V+ and V box so i know it’s not the boxes (i did reboot both just in case).

Not sure if it’s a local problem (i’m in the North East, DL3 Darlington area). I rang VM yesterday to report it but they said they couldn’t do anything about it until monday coz they are updating their billing system or something.

Anyone else had/having the same problem?

Got my shiney new HD box (part of the VIP package) yesterday, but I seem to get picture and sound dropouts just now and then on some channels, so far just MTV Dance and Sky Premire Movies.

Is this common, or do I have aproblem.

It looks a bit like a weak signal type issue, or at least it would if it was satellite.

When they fitted it, they did have to put an additional splitter in to feed my son’s room on the old box which doesn’t seem to suffer from the drop outs, but the signal has to pass through two splitters before it reaches the V+ box, one for my son’s box, and one for the broadband modem.

It’d be a lot of hassle, but do you think I should run a feed to the first splitter and have the V+ after only one split?

Or is it something I should call cable about? Or does everyone get it??
