After speaking to customer services and trying all diagnostic attempts , is anyone in plymouth experincing problems with vod? My service is getting worse over the last month and its now impossible to watch a program on vod but the rest of the service works fine.
All programs just stop stutter break up and then die, everything worked in sept, but oct to nov its gone potty.
Anyway im waiting for a phone call from someone….

“But five hundred staff at the company’s Plymouth call centre are being kept on to deal with customer enquiries”

Im wondering if anyone can help me with this? I live in Plym and have virgin BB 2mbs. I have been happy wiit the service except for a few hicups but around this time between 8pm to 2am for the last 3 days the speed of our service drops by a 4th. We have a wired connection (so nobody else is using the network). Have 2 computers coonected to the network running at the moment my flat mate is watching a dvd on his and isn’t on the net where as I am but its taking 4 times longer to load web pages.
I tried calling virgin but got through to a couple of people who didnt have a clue, so i am confused.
I ahve checked for virus and spyware and have done the usual check on machines as Im reasonably savvy with computers but am annoyed that between to times each day the speed grinds to a halt. i thought cable was ment to eb a contstant seppd.
scruffpots flat mate.

I’ve been STM’d from 20mb down to about 4mb, confirmed via newsgroups, but the computer only went on around lunchtime for general browsing, watched a couple of you tube videos then downloaded a 700mb file around 7.30pm. Slow speeds kicked in 8.30pm. Really struggling to see how I could reach the limits that would have caused this ! No P2P is being used, no iPlayer used, no game consoles used, work nights so computers and modem off till about 1pm and my network is secure !
Have the trials been spread a little further, not that I would hit the limits ? Are they still 3gb DL/UL 4pm till 9pm ?
Need to wait till tomorrow for more newsgroup feedback, they knock off at 10pm til 8am.
