When are all Customer Retention deals going to be over? Cable

Sunday, August 9th, 2009

When are all VM Customer Retentions no longer going to be able to offer special deals or discounts?

Also will customers already on “lifetime” Customer Retention deals be able to keep them?

I think it is plain nasty that Virgin CS are not allowed to reduce a customer from one bundle down to a lower priced bundle. Will this end up being the only role of Customer Retentions – to move customers to lower priced bundles (ones available to all new customers and shown on the VM website).

Thanks for any answers.

VM Go Back On Retention Deal Virgin Media Broadband

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

Help please. With the help of this forum I negotiated a deal with VM Retentions whereby my Boadband M only package reduced from £18 per month to £9. Three months in they have said I was given an inappropriate discount and are trying to reclaim the full £18 back to when they reduced it to £9 ie full arrears. Have queried this in strongest terms but have simply got an email reply from a foreign accounts centre saying in very poor English that they are right. Don’t have VM phone service. Can someone advise me how to contact someone in this country to take this further please.

Any Retention deals for 2Mb Broadband? Virgin Media Broadband

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

[cross-posted incase the people who'd know were to miss it]

Hi,

As the title says, are there any deals for people on 2mb for £10, when so many companies (subject to area) are offering so much more bandwidth, inc. sky’s £10 deal, which even in the worst case I’d get at least 4mb unlimited, more likely (due to location) the full 16Mb bandwidth.

I’ve been a customer for years; but will they just laugh!

Also, anyone know when they’re going to be upgrading the standard 2mb service to 4mb+?

Thanks in advance for all help/advice.

Kind regards,

MN

conned by virgin media retention team Virgin Media Broadband

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

12 months ago they offered me £10 deal for life for my 2MB broadband when I tried to cancel my broadband – now they send a new bill with a £18 price tag – contacted them and they claim there was no deal like for life – so it looks like I was mis-sold. I told them I will put a complain to ofcom – and they are not worried

Just wondering any one had similar con deal by virgin. Any advice folks what I can do about this mis-selling

What happened to Virgin customer retention ?! V+ HD

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

I’m about to move house and have been thinking about ditching Virgin (miss sky one/news + what more HD content)and going with Sky so I called Virgin last night and explained that I wanted to give a months notice and when I move I will be signing up with sky. The guy said no problem and arranged the cut off and kit collection. I’m not a huge customer (65 quid PM) but thought they would at least try keeping me !

What is a ‘Special Retention Package’? Virgin Media TV and Phone

Friday, February 20th, 2009

I am one of the hapless souls who pre-registered for the new Blueyonder 256k service, and was pretty happy when they emailed back a few days later saying they could connect me soon and that I was one of the first 5000 (making the first month free).

But a day or two ago, the ‘web team’ sent an email saying:

Our records show that you are currently active on our Special Retention
package. Due to this, we are unable to upgrade you to our 256kbps
service.

I responded by saying that I haven’t a clue what a Special Retention package is; but the reply only diverted me to the Customer Service Centre.

Can anyone please tell me what they’re talking about, and what the hell that package is?
