Hi,
I want to watch the first series of Chuck on Warner TV on Demand.
However, I have noticed that only 7 out of the 13 episodes of the 1st series are showing. Do these get updated regularly or am I going to have to go searching on Newsgoups?
Thanks
Has anyone noticed that the Warner On Demand site says that the West Wing and The Class were due new episodes Monday 8th… These still aren’t showing on the box… Is there normally this delay?

Surely, the new episodes should be on by now!?
just started to watch st voyager on demand. episode 1 is actually episode 2 , and episode 2 is episode 1. also some episodes are missing. have noticed this on other series before. i assume when they show these episodes on virgin tv they are in order. so why cant they get them in order on, on demand, and why are episodes missing. anyone know the answer to this, and can we get virgin to sort this out. regards popp
Hi,
Virgin called me yesterday and tried to get me to take a free box as I have Phone and Broadband with them. I agreed and they are sending it out by courier (as I used to have TV with them and have all the cabling already).
I am only taking it as a backup to my Sky as its free. However I am just curious as to what VOD is free with Virgins free Tv service. Is BBC Iplayer free?
Do you think it is worth paying the extra £7 for the catalogue of OnDemand stuff, is there good stuff on there, and does it change much?
Thanks,
Andy
Everynight around midnight and then onwards for a few hours my VOD stops working and I get error messages. Or the show will start then a few minute in it says VOD is currently unavailable. Doesnt matter if I reboot- still wont work.
Does anyone else get this- its been happenning all week and this is the only time I have to watch tv.
I’m wondering just how the server config is done for the various Virgin VOD services.
Do they run one set of central servers to send out the video to all areas, or do they run some more localised servers to “spread the load”?
Whats got me wondering is the number of times of late that the service appears to have been totally unavailable. Sometimes a reboot of the box will resolve the issue, but not always.
So its down to one (or more) of the following :
1. Too much local traffic to the “local” data center
2. Way too much load to the centralised data centers
3. Lousy coding on the STB
I’m starting to figure its down to both load on the service and lousy coding on the STB.
How is everyone finding the reliability of VoD these days..
Are assets still missing?
Do you get error messages or not available messages etc
or has the whole thing settled down to be pretty reliable?
Anyone else having problems with VOD today? I’m in TW7. How come the service works when I select a movie (to add to my bill) but won’t let me play it???! I’ve now got 24 hours to watch it…except I can’t.
After speaking to customer services and trying all diagnostic attempts , is anyone in plymouth experincing problems with vod? My service is getting worse over the last month and its now impossible to watch a program on vod but the rest of the service works fine.
All programs just stop stutter break up and then die, everything worked in sept, but oct to nov its gone potty.
Anyway im waiting for a phone call from someone….
