Grundig Box works very well with aerial booster Freeview

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

I have been using an aerial booster for analogue signals for some years as my aerial is in the loft.

I expected to have to purchase a new aerial for freeview. However the Grundig box works very well with the booster. No booster no signal.

Before going out to buy a new aerial try a booster.

without putting a hoodoo on it.in view of the fact, after all this time itv active is still running.does anyone know or have an opinion as to whether it is viable or survivable ?.i’m stunned to still be here as i presumed as many others did that it would be the first casualty of it all.you don’t think someone’s shut the door behind them without remembering to turn it off

I just rang my bank as my DD for next month went out yesterday. I prepaid to the end of May but I have Sky Sports 1,2,3 and ITV Sport Channel.

The bank rang ITVd for me and connected me to a very nice lady from ITVd. I explained I didn’t want to pay for a service that was stopping at midnight and she checked with her manager and then promptly agreed to reverse the DD (pay an indemnity) so the money goes back into my account.

Can’t complain with that service at all – especially given she is probably expecting to lose her job very soon! Feel really sorry for them…

I for one think the heads of Carlton & Granada should be investigated. They clearly wanted to send the company bust over the last couple of months and now they have cost 1200 people their jobs at ITVd plus done long term damage to football in this country (I know some of that is down to clubs overspending but they just believed what they were told) plus the people involved in football, all of the suppliers etc.

Surely these two people should not be allowed to head public companies? Who’s for starting an online petition to have them investigated (and then preferably hung drawn and quartered?)

wanted LOYALTY REWARD or i’m off as well ! Freeview

something that has always peeved me a bit.have been the reports, there’s too many not to be true, that when people phone up to cancel itv digital, they’re offered free this and that.i’ve always remained incredibly loyal despite the various faults and problems from time to time with the service.it was my initial natural instinct,to do what thousands upon thousands of others have done.when receivership etc. surfaced,i wanted to rush and cancel my direct debit, being alarmed at losing money,if it was going down.i personally am housebound through illness,so am obviously not working.therefore, itv digital is my most expensive outgoing by far and it pushes my finances to the limit.so,it’s with ever increasing displeasure that i read of all these inducements being given to those trying to desert ship.surely, loyalty must get some reward, the cash flow and advertisable numbers of the customer base help any possible sale of the platform.

Pace FTA – not well thought out Freeview

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

Look at this http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/content…/html/pace.htm

How are you supposed to record from it without 1) a multitude of SCART doublers or 2) plugging it into the video and back again every time?

My contract officially ends today and I am expecting a courier to come tonight to collect both my STB and ONnet box.

I gave all the correct notice periods and have email confirmations from CS that everything is in order. This was weeks ago now.

I also had confirmation that no further money was to be collected from my bank account. My last payment was made two months ago as I had credit for trialling ONnet.

Oh dear thats blown the confidentiality!

So I cancelled my direct debit.

And a good job too because the lousy ******* tried to get more money out of the account this morning!

Needless to say I have just sent a stinking email to which I have demanded explanations as well as confirmation the equipment will still be collected tonight.

PS: I have Sky now and enjoy it. Sky digital text came on board last night. Although their text has been around a while now I really do think that ONdigital are lacking in everything. This is my opinion and I do not wish to encourage any new slanging match of the two products.
