Just went into the Virgin Central and the menus have all changed.
You no longer have to go into the On Demand menus, it’s an interactive application that works outside of the main menu system.
Seems fast to load, much nicer than before.
Is this a recent change or has it been like this for ages??
This style of application would work nicely for the BBC News Interactive, rather than show the videos on a loop the viewer could select to press play when you want it to.

We keep hearing rumours regarding these 2 channels joining catch up but when are we going to see them.
Last year there was a test for ITV on Cable and we have seen nothing again since.
Anyone who’s in the know about 5 and ITV catch up please let us know what when and where.

I’ve just booked an upgrade to go with my existing 10mb broadband – XL TV, V+Box and M phone (£39) and was given the offer price of £49 for installation/one off fee.
But when do I actually pay this – I presume when they’ve actually installed it…?

When are all VM Customer Retentions no longer going to be able to offer special deals or discounts?
Also will customers already on “lifetime” Customer Retention deals be able to keep them?
I think it is plain nasty that Virgin CS are not allowed to reduce a customer from one bundle down to a lower priced bundle. Will this end up being the only role of Customer Retentions – to move customers to lower priced bundles (ones available to all new customers and shown on the VM website).
Thanks for any answers.

Hello!
I’m moving flat and my installation date is set for tomorrow. When I arranged to move I was told the services in my current flat would switch off Sunday morning.
Well, here I am, watching Sky 1 and posting on DS; has something gone pear shaped? My installations with Virgin have never ever been straight forward! Should I phone them tomorrow when the lines open to check it’s all okay still?
Hope someone can reply and settle my nerves, I do a lot of my work online so problem could cost me quite a bit of money!
Thank you!

The MHEG screen is pretty annoying when using an IDTV for radio (whether through TV speakers or hifi).
Setting a timed recording is a way to have a dark screen though is pretty annoying to have to set this up.
I’ve found that if you’re quick enough on my Grundig, as soon as you tune to a radio station, switching MHEG off prevents the splash screen loading, and you have a dark screen. If MHEG is already off, switching to the radio channel does turn it back on, but just be waiting, as soon as the LED turns orange, turn it off again immediately before the MHEG layer loads.
This applies to the Grundig, with other IDTVs there may be something similar you can try.

Hi, I see at http://members.lycos.co.uk/ukdtttx/ it mentions possible plans to increase the radiated power of some of the muxes and one frequency change.
Does anyone know when?
Many Thanks
Automan.
