Hi
If you want a cheap freeview reciever, get your self down to your local argos, cos ythey have got them for £45.00!!!
they have got phillips on digital boxes for £45.00
and also nokia mediamaster for £45.00
i think that these are excellent buys for anybody considering ourchasing one of these boxes!
they are managers specials though, so they wont be around for long!

[Ok - sorry to start a new topic when there's already so many about the new lineup BUT this is more a posting about Sky's plans for Sky Travel...]
So, you’re a brand new Digital TV company and you’re placing all your channels in logical groups together (News channels together, Childrens channels together, shopping channels together etc.etc.)
So, you decide to put Sky Travel in amongst the General Entertainment Channels?
Surely this would’ve been much better next to TV Travel shop?
Unless…Sky have already told you that actually they don’t intend to have it as Sky Travel for long and instead it’s going to become a General Entertainment channel fairly shortly….
Or is that just wishful thinking on my part
Where did you buy you FTA boxes from?
Now that the Beeb and CCastle have got set out their stall. What is next for the Dig 3/4 Mux and SDN Mux.
Anyone know if a repackaging exercise is underway, for these Muxes.
Presumably they challenged the 16QAM switch for some reason, and it wasn’t good engineering
Even if they do 16QAM presumably they have capacity for more channels on their Muxes?
Any offers.
Just moved into a flat in Hull and bought a Pioneer box for DTV viewing.
BUT, I can only get the BBC channels and no CH4/Ch5/ITV1,2/ITN News.
Checked the signal strength and its rubbish
Is it the aerial? could I use a set top aerial ?
I’ve only just picked up the BBC ones ‘cos i used a booster.
…my hands on an old On/ITV Digital Box?
Is there anyone on these forums who would like to donate/sell me their box for a reasonable price (+P&P obv!)?
Please feel free to PM me or send me an email!
I dunno why I really want it, having Telewest, but am dead interested in seeing what the service is like nowadays – I was one of the original OnDigital 12-month buy-up-front subscribers!
Cheers
Paul
Hi,
I was wondering if anybody knew if any big retailers were selling old ITV Digital receiver boxes?
I saw an ad on the pace site at £129.95, but seem to recall comet selling their stock for around £85 or so.
I would prefer getting an unused ITV box rather than a new pace one, but would rather get it for cheaper if i can find out.
cheers,
r.
The programme information that cane be viewed either in the EPG or as now/next box… how and ‘where’ (channel/multiplex?) is it broadcast, and by whom? What format is is broadcast in?
New to digital tv technology, im trying to understand how things work!
Thanks.
On digital spy on the new ITV channel listings the ITV Digital info channel is still shown. But its gone its only a blank screan think its a discrease that ITVD havent got some form of information service to there costimers
Thats why we have to come here and speculate about whats going on
Can anyone still get it
Also they didnt leave the infomation on long enough on the axed channels.
And why do they still have the Channel names on the axed channels could they not get rid of them and stop tempting us to get Sky Digital (which will be my total last resort if they dont do anything about geting me big bro 3
