I wonder what films they will show? I have seen Zone Romantica had the odd ABC1 programme like Party of Five and Starsky and Hutch appeared in there schedules I’m sure (this was a show on Bravo for years).
I see that the fantastic 80’s series “North & South” is coming to Zone Romantica on New Year’s Day. I’ve been waiting YEARS for this to come back to t.v. and I’m really looking forward to it. Now all I want to see is the absolutely BRILLIANT “Ellis Island”. Has ANYONE any ideas whether this will ever be shown on t.v. again? If not, any ideas where I could buy the DVD’s? It was by far the best series on t.v. EVER! It launched Liam Neelson’s career, and I loved every minute of it. PLEASE PLEASE REPLY
With following their ratings at BARB, i cannot see how they still have that much channels on prominent EPG Slots.
Sure, they have some interesting (Cheap) Programmes on and some good, but at the End noone is really watching the ZONE Channels.
Romantica has exclusive rights to US Soaps, with no ratings there to measure at all, and how can they survive with that?
Does anyone remember an unusual 30 to 60 minute horror short about a couple that moved into a new house only to find strange occurances happening to them. The house would heat up & when they tried to escape a brick wall surrounded them , i also remember a scene where some toxic gunge came from the fire (i think). It turned out that, or the Twist was that it was a dolls house that was being played with by a youngster, if anyone remembers this i would be most grateful, Thanks for looking – 4343digipak.
Lets take (for example) Zone Reality, it’s Free-to-Air on Satellite but subscription TV-XL on Virgin Media, would the channel have to pay to be subscription on the TV-XL package on Virgin Media or would Virgin Media pay the channel to be subscription in the TV-XL package?
I see they have got ‘The Bees’ as a film showing this July in there preview trailers, can’t see anything about it on there website does anybody know when they plan to show this film?
Why not just have subtitles, surely the fellow or woman gets in the way a little bit? Excuse my ignorance on what could be a sensitive subject.
Maybe I’m being a bit oversensitive, but last night on the Sci-Fi Channel at 5pm, there was a scene where someone walked into a school and discharged a handgun with pupils around!
At least a few years ago in an episode of Home and Away where a gun was in a school scene, they had the tactfulness not just to cut the scene, but they refused to transmit whole episode!
It was a hard enough day yesterday for the people of Scotland at least, without this being shown.
